Jesus with Child Notecards are reproduced from Michele ‘s painting, “My Hero” which tells her story of struggle and faith (see Artist Statement below). The piece depicts Jesus helping a little girl (the artist) who’s fallen down. SPECIFICS

Jesus with Child Notecards measure 4.25 x 5.5 inches and are printed on 120# Mohawk Superfine stock. Produced from 100% virgin pulp, Mohawk Superfine is acid-free, archival, and FSC-certified (eco-friendly). Matching off-white envelopes are included.

ARTIST STATEMENT

(On the back of each notecard): I was born with a form of dwarfism that causes multiple orthopedic complications.  As a result of neurological damage and unhealthy muscles from having so many surgeries, I became fully dependent on crutches at the age of 14.  It was the words of someone dear to my heart that inspired me to paint this piece.  He calls me his hero because of the strength he sees in my life, but what he doesn’t see is the Source of that strength.  In this painting I’ve portrayed myself as a little girl who has fallen while walking with her crutches.  She looks up to the One behind her as if to say, “…but it hurts.”  His strong, but gentle look reveals His response, “It will be okay; I am with you.”  He is my strength.  He is my hero.  His name is Jesus.
